Service Description
Wheel Continued 5:30-7:30pm 6 wks course 1/29-3/5 Includes clay, glaze, firing process, tools, instruction, shelf space. Class and 2hrs open studio time each week. Welcoming ages +18 Continued is offered for returning class members or intermediate potters. This course allows you to strengthen your skills and practice. Building off of basic forms and exploring new techniques. -continue to practice wedging centering, and throwing on the wheel -Trimming on the wheel -Working with clay in different stages; Soft, leather hard, bone dry, bisqueware, glazeware -Surface textures and design -Glazing -Intentional craftsmanship -Learning about equipment and tools -managing work and drying stages -Learning to reclaim clay! Wheel continued class offers inter based instruction. Covering a range of techniques to strengthen your pottery skills. Working towards an overall intensive knowledge in clay. Instruction and demos will be tailored to fit into the scheduled class time. The first week we will connect on areas of interest and intended projects for the course. As the class progresses, topics will be presented accordingly. Open studio time is your own time/no make-up offered (2hrs per week). Choose to come in and work independently on projects outside of closed studio hours. There won't be an intended instruction for that time. It is free time to explore and work on your own.
Cancellation Policy
If a class cancellation arises the class will be added to the end of the course/ extend the course past end date. If you have an unplanned absence. You have the option to join a different class time during the week for a make up. Class fee is non-refundable 2 weeks before start date. And needs to be paid before the start date.
