Service Description

Clay Days welcome you to come learn and explore hand building techniques. There will be guided instruction on the presented project, but the freedom to create is all yours (no strict guidelines). Adapting techniques and lessons for a variety of ages and abilities. Bring the family or a friend, one booking can cover up to 4 people. Workshop is 1 hr. long and includes clay, tools, and instruction. There is plenty of time to explore and create. Keeping your wheel work is optional. You are welcome to choose at the end of the workshop. $15 for 6x6 board/ additional $10 per board. (all you can fit) Pottery will be ready to glaze in 3-4 weeks. Glazing options; Make a glaze appointment to personally come in and glaze. Offered on Sunday mornings 10am-1pm. Sign up www.firsthousepottery.com. Pottery waiting to be glazed has a 2 month shelf life. If an appointment is not made, the studio will glaze your pottery and notify you for pick up. Arrange for a studio glaze. Choose from the glaze selection. Pottery will be ready for pick up 4-6 weeks.


Cancellation Policy

Workshop fee is non refundable. Glazing fee is refundable if your pottery doesn't survive the firing process. Glazing appointments; Can be scheduled online. Pottery needs to be glazed within 2 months after bisque firing. If an appointment is not made, the studio will glaze your pottery and notify you for pick up. Pottery Pick up; If your pottery sits for over 6 months, it will be donated to create shelf room (No guarantees on pottery after 6months). Helpful studio tips; -Clay will wash out of clothes. Come prepared to get a little messy. -Long nails can be difficult. Trimming your nails before arriving may be helpful. -Rings can interfere with the throwing process. If possible, you probably want to leave your rings at home.
