Clay after school program Thursday afternoons 3:30-5 5 sessions/March 26, April 2,9,16,30 NO CLASS 4/23 MMUSD bus drop off Ages +10 $225 Spend the afternoons exploring clay! Students will have the opportunity to strengthen their hand building skills and also learn to throw on the wheel! Lessons and instructions are presented in an open process exploration. And can be tailored to age and skill level. Class overview; 3/26 -Handbuilding/pinch, coil and slip and scoring Enclosed pinch pot forms -Wheel throwing 4/2 -Hand building slab Soft slab and coil cups/lidded vessels -Trim and carve wheel work 4/9 -Hand building projects Abstract trivets and trays -Wheel throwing 4/16 -Finish up hand building projects -Surface design/underglaze -Trim and carve wheelwork 4/30-Glazing/ finishing work Clay gargoyles/ kiln creatures The instructor and owner Kate Morrissey has +12 years working with children and teaching art to youth. Cancellation Policy
If a class cancellation arises (bad weather) the class will be added to the end of the course/ extend the course past end date. There are no make up dates offered for unexpected absences Class fee is non-refundable and needs to be paid before the start date. Payment plan are available if needed. Please connect with Kate.
