BYOB Wheel Workshop
Service Description
Sip n' Spin is great for anyone who wants to experience throwing with no pressure. It's all about enjoying the process. Guided instruction and help with centering is provided. No experience is needed! Responsible BYOB welcome. One wheel spot can accommodate 1 or 2 people. Come alone or share your wheel time with a family member or friend. +21yrs old event 1 person/ $50 2 people/$75 Wheel workshops are 1 ½ hrs long and include clay, tools, and instruction. There is plenty of time to explore and create (lots of turns). Keeping your wheel work is optional. You are welcome to choose at the end of the workshop. $15 for 1 piece/ $10 per additional piece. Glazing options; 1.) Make a glaze appointment to personally come in and glaze yourself (2-3 weeks after wheel workshop). Offered on Sunday mornings 10am-1pm. Sign up @ www.firsthousepottery.com. 2.) Arrange for the studio glaze. Choose from the glaze selection, and record it on your slip. Pottery will be ready for pick up 4-6 weeks. Workshop fee is non-refundable. If you do not receive your pottery after the workshop your glazing fee is refundable.
Cancellation Policy
Workshop fee is non refundable. Glazing fee is refundable if your pottery doesn't survive the firing process. Glazing appointments; Can be scheduled online. Pottery needs to be glazed within 2 months after bisque firing. If an appointment is not made, the studio will glaze your pottery and notify you for pick up. Pottery Pick up; If your pottery sits for over 6 months, it will be donated to create shelf room (No guarantees on pottery after 6months). Helpful studio tips; -Clay will wash out of clothes. Come prepared to get a little messy. -Long nails can be difficult. Trimming your nails before arriving may be helpful. -Rings can interfere with the throwing process. If possible, you probably want to leave your rings at home.
