Service Description

Private lessons are offered for individuals who would like to learn the craft of clay. With personal one on one instruction and guidance provided. With options of tailoring knowledge and skill with each course. A Course includes 6 sessions. That can be scheduled with flexibility to help fit a course into a rotating work week! Everything included; Clay, glazes, and the firing processes. Available weekly scheduling on Wednesday mornings 9-1 Thursday evenings 4-630 Sunday afternoons 1-4 Intro to clay course $240 Basic introduction to working with clay. Focusing on handbuilding techniques. And learning the fundamental knowledge needed for handbuilding and working with clay. Pinch, coil, slab, surface decoration, and glazing. Instruction can be adjusted depending on ability. And topics can be interest based. Intro to wheel throwing course $280/6wks All levels welcome, but no experience is necessary. This course covers the basics of wheel throwing. Wedging, centering, throwing, trimming, glazing. This 6 session course gives you freedom to explore and guidance to learn. Extending your knowledge with continued courses. Using your fundamental skills to practice and further your understanding and knowledge. Topics that continued courses can offer; Handles and attaching forms Throwing sets Lidded forms Plates and Wide flat bases Altering forms Surface decoration and design Glazing techniques Connect with Kate about private lesson details and scheduling.

Cancellation Policy

If a class cancellation arises, a date will be offered for rescheduling. I'll try my best to accommodate everyone's needs. There will be only 1 make up opportunity for an unplanned absence. Class fee is non-refundable within 2 weeks of the starting course date.
