Service Description

One time workshops for members looking to grow their skills. Join me in the studio for some new techniques and hands-on learning. Mays Upcoming studio crew workshops; Come learn tips, tricks, and techniques while I create my forms for the upcoming Raku workshop (you do not need to be doing the raku workshop). Working intentionally for the next few weeks, I hope to complete a few decorative thrown and hand built pieces. I'm inviting you to come work alongside me if you're interested in expanding your practice. Thrown forms. Saturday, May 2nd @ 5pm On the wheel; vases, lamps, long necks Altering thrown forms. Tuesday May 5th @5:30pm Combining forms, flattening/ altering shapes, craving surface design Slabs, slump forms, and sculpture. Friday May 8th @ 10am Handbuilding; Making slabs, slumping slabs, and decorative sculpting. Burnishing. Wednesday, May 13th @ 10am Finishing the surface with a traditional non-glazed method. *Recommended having a piece that is leather hard to bone dry Thrown forms. Wednesday, May 13th@ 5:30pm On the wheel; vases, lamps, long necks Slabs, slump forms, and sculpture. Saturday, May 16th @3pm Handbuilding; Making slabs, slumping slabs, and decorative sculpting. Sign up to reserve your space. You use your own clay. Kiln limitations and membership hours don't apply to workshops. Come prepared to create! 1½-2hrs workshop $25 per session
