Tuesday evenings 5:30-7:30 Workshops offer members to grow their skills. Join me in the studio for tips, tricks, and techniques. Sign up to reserve your space. Membership hours don't apply to workshops. $25 per workshop. Primitive Pots Tuesday July 28th @5:30pm Sunday August 9th @11am Low fire stoneware finished in a barrel/pit fire. +$2 per pound for low fire stoneware clay. This workshop includes guidance on handbuilding forms and how to burnish your surface for pit firing (same workshop offered on different days, only need to sign up for 1). Pieces need to be ready for bisque firing prior to pit firing scheduled for Saturday, September 5th. If this workshop is full, please connect. There is extra room in handbuilding workshops. Slabs Tuesday July 7th I'm pairing with a few local flower options late this summer and need to prepare for the workshops. I'll be exploring handbuilt slab, imprinting texture and coil techniques. Join me in the studio for hands-on learning and guidance. You bring your own clay. The workshop covers instruction and time with me in the studio. If this workshop is full, please connect. There is extra room in handbuilding workshops. Lidded vessels Tuesday July 14th Throwing and trimming demos on the wheel. Learn how to measure and throw various lids, enclosed forms, and how to trim precisely for a good fitting lid. Bring your own clay and come ready to create! Altered forms Tuesday July 21th Wheel thrown altered forms. How to move and manipulate clay on the wheel for unique shapes. Soft and leather hard techniques. Teapots! August 4th and 11th Honestly I've never used any of my teapots for tea- but they are fun project to complete! Challenge your creative process with this 2 part workshop. Join me on the wheel to throw and then the following week to trim and combine. Guaranteed to improve your craftsmanship.
