Service Description

Sept 8- Nov 3/ 9 weeks Clay, glazes, kiln firing process, use of the studio and equipment, instruction, and designated shelf space. Intro Continued is offered for returning class members. Covering the basics of throwing and working with clay. There will be a weekly class offered on Sundays 1030am-12:30pm. Sundays are for instruction, demos, class structure. There can be 1 make-up available for missed class session Friday evenings will be an open studio option. This is time to create and practice at your own pace if you'd like to come in. I will be available for help and guidance if needed. But there is no class curriculum for that time. Open to use from 5pm to 9pm. It is your own time/no make up available. This time is also open to my independent studio crew. So you may meet a new face! We will continue to cover the basics for working with clay and wheel throwing. -continue to practice wedging, centering, and throwing on the wheel -Trimming on the wheel and pulling and attaching handles -Working with clay in different stages; Soft, leather hard, bone dry, bisqueware, glazeware -Surface textures, design and glazing -learning about equipment and tools New techniques that will be offered; -combining and attaching forms -alternating shapes -learning to use calipers/ forming vessels with lids -freedom to create independently!


Cancellation Policy

If a class cancellation arises, a date will be offered for rescheduling. I'll try my best to accommodate everyone's needs. There will be only 1 make up opportunity for an unplanned absence. Class fee is non-refundable within 2 weeks of the starting course date.
